Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has confirmed that its first restaurant in Salford will officially open on Sunday 8 November 2026 at 12pm, bringing its traditional Neapolitan pizza offering to Monton.

Located on Monton Road, the new pizzeria will occupy the former Bennetts Furnishers building, which has remained vacant since 2022.
The restaurant will accommodate more than 120 guests, introducing a new dining destination to Monton’s high street as the Manchester-founded pizza group continues to expand its UK estate.
The opening will mark Rudy’s first location in Salford and its 41st restaurant nationwide, following the company’s growth from its original Ancoats pizzeria, which opened in Manchester in 2015.
To celebrate the launch, Rudy’s has partnered with Salford Foundation, a local charity providing opportunities, training and support for children, young people and adults across Salford, Greater Manchester and the North West.
A sold-out pre-opening event will see proceeds donated to the charity, while customers visiting the new Monton restaurant will also have opportunities to contribute.
Rudy’s has built its reputation around traditional Neapolitan pizza-making techniques, using double-fermented dough and ingredients sourced from Italy.
The restaurant group is accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN), the international organisation responsible for protecting and promoting the traditions of authentic Neapolitan pizza.
Rudy’s was also ranked 23rd globally in the 2025 50 Top Pizza awards, reflecting its reputation within the international pizza industry.
The Monton restaurant will serve the brand’s established menu, including classics such as the Margherita and Calabrese, alongside regularly changing specials developed in collaboration with international pizzaioli.
Neal Bates, Managing Director at Rudy’s, said: “We’re really excited to open Rudy’s Monton this November and bring our pizza to Salford for the first time. Monton has a fantastic food and drink scene, and we can’t wait to welcome both new guests and familiar faces to the new pizzeria.
“We’re also proud to also be supporting Salford Foundation and helping raise money for an organisation doing such important work in the local community. We can’t wait to welcome guests through the doors, fire up the oven and finally share a pizza with our new neighbours in Monton.”
The restaurant’s menu will also feature limited-edition pizzas inspired by collaborations with established pizzerias and chefs around the world.
Recent specials have included The Peppe, featuring fior di latte, lemon ricotta, bresaola, confit tomatoes, lemon zest and basil.
The pizza was inspired by the Rudy’s team’s visit to Gruppo Peppe in Paris, founded by award-winning Neapolitan pizzaiolo Peppe Cutraro.
Alongside its pizza menu, the new restaurant will offer an extensive drinks selection, including classic Aperol and Hugo spritzers, Rudy’s Morello Cherry and Mandarino spritzers, local lagers and soft drinks.
The food offering will extend to traditional Italian-inspired desserts, including freshly prepared tiramisu, panna cotta cheesecake with red berry compote and white chocolate shavings, and double chocolate brownie served with vanilla gelato.
The opening further strengthens Rudy’s presence across Greater Manchester, while bringing a previously vacant high street property back into use.
Rudy’s Monton will officially welcome customers from midday on Sunday 8 November, with the restaurant’s partnership with Salford Foundation forming part of its introduction to the local community.
