Preferred Hotels & Resorts has appointed Çağlar Göncüler as Director, Global Sales – Middle East.
Based in Dubai, Göncüler joins the company’s global sales team with responsibility for strengthening its presence across the region and supporting the commercial performance of member hotels.
He brings almost 20 years of experience across sales, marketing and e-commerce within the hospitality sector.

In his new role, Göncüler will work with accounts across the Middle East to generate business for Preferred Hotels & Resorts member properties across leisure, corporate and group segments.
His experience includes an understanding of the Middle East as a source market alongside changing requirements within the region’s luxury travel sector.
Göncüler’s career has included roles with Aman Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, Hyatt Regency, Kempinski and Radisson Hotel Group.
He has worked across both property-level and wider leadership roles, with experience of international source markets including the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia and CIS, and Turkey.
His background also includes working with luxury travel consortia programmes and across different hotel and resort categories.
The appointment comes as Preferred Hotels & Resorts continues to expand its portfolio across the Middle East and North Africa.
Recent additions include Al Habtoor Palace Dubai and Wynn Al Marjan Island in the UAE, alongside a strategic partnership with Encora Collection in Egypt.
Göncüler will support that regional expansion through the development of sales relationships and business opportunities across the brand’s member portfolio.
