Shaftesbury Capital has announced a series of new food and beverage signings and openings across Covent Garden, representing just under 10,000 sq ft of new hospitality space.

Among the new arrivals is contemporary Chinese restaurant Noodle & Beer, which has signed for a 1,625 sq ft unit at 25 Catherine Street.
The restaurant will become Noodle & Beer’s second West End location, joining its existing site within Shaftesbury Capital’s Chinatown portfolio.
The Covent Garden restaurant will serve the brand’s Sichuan-style noodles alongside beer, wine and cocktails and will include a private dining room.
Italian sandwich brand bread&truffle. has also signed for an 810 sq ft unit at 7 New Row, where it will open its West End flagship.
The concept specialises in focaccia sandwiches made using bread baked in-house and ingredients sourced from Italy.
The new signings join several food and beverage businesses opening across the Covent Garden neighbourhood.
Bubala has recently opened at 14 Garrick Street, while Experimental Cocktail Club is operating Halloween pop-up The Haunting at 9 Russell Street. The site will subsequently transition into its Miracle Bar concept for the festive period, operating until the end of the year.
Lenny’s Apizza is scheduled to open its permanent restaurant at 23-24 Henrietta Street on 27 October. The 2,140 sq ft venue will span two floors.
Heard is also preparing to open a 4,000 sq ft flagship restaurant at 33-35 Wellington Street.
Schofield’s Bar is due to open at 1 Earlham Street in November, while Puffy Cookies will also open during November. Junk Burger is scheduled to join New Row in December.
Emma Matus, Head of Restaurant Leasing at Shaftesbury Capital, commented: “These signings and openings build on a strong year of F&B leasing, reinforcing Covent Garden’s position as a leading dining destination under our stewardship. The area’s continued appeal is reflected in brands such as Noodle & Beer and Heard choosing to expand across the Shaftesbury Capital portfolio, and demonstrates the strength of our partnerships, our commitment to supporting brand growth, and the quality and diversity of Covent Garden’s F&B offer.”
Xiaoxiao Wang, Founder of Noodle & Beer, added: “Signing in Covent Garden was a natural choice, given our success in Chinatown. We continue to target prime destinations to expand our presence in London, so Noodle & Beer will be right at home in this iconic neighbourhood, which is both community-focused and world-class, with a top-quality mix of F&B operators.”
The latest activity follows a series of food and beverage openings and signings secured by Shaftesbury Capital across Covent Garden during 2026.
These include contemporary French dining concept Cassette on Maiden Lane, Inception Group’s Mr Fogg’s Market Tavern in the Market Building and Sourdough Sophia’s first central London location in Neal’s Yard.
