Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa has opened Bêyabu Rooftop, a new events space overlooking West Bay Beach and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef.

Located on top of the resort’s main building, Bêyabu can accommodate gatherings of up to 80 guests, depending on configuration.
The space has been designed for wedding ceremonies, private dining, welcome receptions, wellness sessions, sunset events and other private celebrations.
Its name, Bêyabu, means ‘beach’ in Garifuna and references the culture and language of the Garifuna people of Honduras’ Caribbean coast.
The opening follows Kimpton Grand Roatán receiving a MICHELIN Key in September 2026.
Bêyabu will operate throughout the day, with the venue transitioning from morning and daytime use into cocktails, music and evening events.
Sandra Montero, Certified Wedding & Event Planner and Associate Director of Catering at Kimpton Grand Roatán Resort & Spa, said: “We’re proud to introduce Bêyabu at a time when our hospitality and event capabilities are being recognised internationally, from receiving a MICHELIN Key to being named to Loverly’s annual list.
“Bêyabu builds on that momentum with another distinctive way for guests to gather and celebrate.”
The new rooftop joins the resort’s existing meetings and events facilities, which provide almost 6,000 sq ft of indoor and outdoor space.
Existing facilities include a ballroom and boardroom, with the resort accommodating corporate retreats, meetings, weddings and private celebrations for groups of more than 100.
Food and beverage for events combines local ingredients with international dishes and cocktails.
Bêyabu adds a smaller rooftop option to the resort’s portfolio, with a focus on private events and views across the Caribbean coast.
