Experimental has opened Experimental Roma on Via Veneto, bringing the hospitality group’s hotel, restaurant and cocktail concepts to the Italian capital.

Housed within a former bank, the property comprises 82 rooms alongside a rooftop with swimming pool and bar, Experimental Cocktail Club Roma and restaurant Ludovisi e Cadore.
Interior architecture has been led by Rodolphe Parente, combining references to Italian design with a contemporary French approach.
The interiors draw on elements associated with 1970s Italian design, including chrome detailing, disco-inspired accents, lurex carpets and textured materials, alongside lacquered ceilings and contemporary sculpture.
Ludovisi e Cadore is led by Roman-born chef Giovanni Passerini, who has built much of his career in Paris.
The restaurant sees Passerini return to Roman cooking, with dishes including trippa alla romana and fettuccine ai regaje.
The dining room incorporates banquette seating, quilted drapery and exposed beams, with the design drawing inspiration from Italian cinema.
Experimental Cocktail Club Roma is accessed from Via Veneto and serves a seasonal menu combining classic cocktails with Experimental signatures.
The drinks programme uses vintage spirits and local ingredients as part of the group’s established cocktail-led approach.
The hotel’s rooftop includes a swimming pool, landscaped garden, bar and seating overlooking Rome, with views towards Villa Borghese and the Colosseum.
Experimental Roma becomes the latest addition to the group’s international hospitality portfolio, bringing together accommodation, food and beverage and nightlife within a single property.
