Passport Resorts has appointed Daniel Strawn as Director of Leisure Sales, with responsibility across its two California properties, Cavallo Point in Sausalito and Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur.

In his new role, Strawn will develop and implement leisure sales strategies across both hotels, with a focus on strengthening existing client relationships, developing new partnerships and growing domestic and international transient business.
He will also lead cross-selling activity between the two properties and work alongside internal sales, revenue and operations teams.
Strawn joins Passport Resorts from Hyatt’s Alila Resorts, where he served as Director of Business Development and oversaw domestic and international leisure sales for Alila Napa Valley and Alila Ventana Big Sur.
Prior to Alila, he was Director of Leisure Sales at Montage Healdsburg, with responsibility for distribution strategy and relationships across consortia, premium credit card and wholesale channels.
Earlier in his career, Strawn spent more than eight years with Marriott International at The Phoenician and Canyon Suites, a Luxury Collection Resort in Scottsdale.
During that period, he progressed through leadership positions spanning front office, housekeeping and travel industry sales.
Mike Freed, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Passport Resorts, said: “Daniel brings an exceptional combination of luxury sales expertise, strong industry relationships and a deep understanding of what today’s travel advisors and their clients are looking for.
“We are excited to welcome him to Passport Resorts and look forward to having him represent both Cavallo Point and Post Ranch as we continue to strengthen our relationships with the travel trade industry and introduce more advisors and their clients to these two extraordinary California properties.”
Strawn will work closely with Post Ranch leisure consultants Bea Wolfe and Shane Forster, alongside sales, revenue and operational teams across both properties.
His remit will include expanding relationships with luxury travel advisors in key feeder markets, representing Passport Resorts at industry trade shows and supporting familiarisation visits to the two hotels.
Strawn said: “I’m thrilled to join Passport Resorts and represent two properties that are so distinctive in both setting and sense of place.
“Cavallo Point and Post Ranch Inn offer different experiences, but both deliver the kind of deeply personal, memorable stays that today’s travelers are seeking.
“I’m looking forward to building meaningful relationships with our travel advisor partners and helping them connect their clients with these remarkable California destinations.”
