AA Hotel & Hospitality Services has announced the winners of its 2026 B&B Awards, celebrating the best of the UK’s independent short stay sector.

The annual awards recognise high-quality and diverse accommodation providers across the UK, while also celebrating the people behind them.
As the UK staycation market continues to play an important role in domestic tourism, the AA B&B Awards shine a spotlight on independent operators delivering memorable guest experiences.
This year’s awards include 13 categories, with the introduction of the brand-new AA Self Catering of the Year Award.
AA Inspectors highlighted the strength of this year’s winners, who continue to deliver first-class hospitality across a wide range of accommodation styles.
From countryside inns to coastal retreats, the 2026 winners reflect the calibre of UK stays available to modern travellers.
The awards span accommodation, food and beverage, and sustainability, recognising the areas increasingly valued by guests seeking experience-led short breaks.
For three categories, AA Inn of the Year, AA Restaurant with Rooms of the Year and AA Bed and Breakfast of the Year, regional winners have been crowned across England, Scotland and Wales.
Those regional winners will now go forward to compete for the overall UK title in each category.
The overall winners will be announced at the AA Hospitality Awards on Monday 21 September 2026 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
Simon Numphud FIH, Managing Director at AA Media, said: “As the staycation market plays an increasingly crucial role in driving British tourism, it is vital to champion and celebrate the independent operators who work tirelessly to make the UK such a compelling travel destination.
“The winners recognised at this year’s AA B&B Awards demonstrate the world-class hospitality, outstanding food and unforgettable guest experiences that are often driven by independent owners whose passion for hospitality, attention to detail and personal approach create the unique and memorable experiences that guests increasingly seek, and which set Britain’s B&B sector apart.”
The awards underline the continued strength of the UK’s independent accommodation sector, recognising operators whose personal service, food, sustainability credentials and sense of place continue to shape the country’s short stay market.
