The Crown in Littlehampton has officially reopened following a transformational investment of more than £287,208.

The pub is part of Proper Pubs, the award-winning community wet-led operator division of Admiral Taverns, which operates more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
Behind the bar are operators Toby Guise and Michelle King, who bring extensive hospitality experience to the venue.
Their experience, energy and enthusiasm will support the pub’s role as a lively social hub for customers, further strengthening its place at the heart of the local community.
Inside, The Crown has been completely transformed, with new flooring, fixtures and fittings throughout.
The refurbished pub also features flat-screen televisions showing Sky and TNT Sports, two new dartboards and a pool table in the games area.
The bar and snug areas have also been updated, creating refreshed spaces for customers to enjoy.
Outside, The Crown has been fitted with new lighting and signage, while the garden has been refurbished to seat around 25 people.
The pub now offers a range of drinks promotions, including Wine Wednesday, where customers can receive £2 off a bottle, and Fizz Friday, with bottles of fizz available for £10.
Cocktails, bottle deals and shot deals will also be available throughout the week.
Toby Guise, Operator of The Crown, said: “We have loved seeing this incredible transformation come to life. Admiral’s expertise has been incredibly helpful — they’ve truly understood what this pub needs to provide for the community and helped bring that to life with us.
“We’re so proud to have opened our doors, and the reactions from new and old customers have been fantastic.”
Going forward, Guise and King will host a busy schedule of entertainment, including karaoke from 8pm on Thursday evenings and live music on Friday and Saturday evenings.
They are also hoping to support all aspects of community life, beginning with food collections for the local foodbank.
In the future, they also plan to support local charities and organise charity events.
Matt Gurney, Operations Director for Proper Pubs, said: “It has been a real pleasure to welcome Toby and Michelle to The Crown and it’s great to see how well the refurbishment has gone down with the local community.
“On behalf of myself and the whole Proper Pubs team, we would like to once again congratulate Toby and Michelle and wish them the very best of luck in their future endeavours at The Crown.”
Proper Pubs continues to support communities through an annual schedule of events and fundraising initiatives.
This year, over Easter, the operator collected 21,619 Easter eggs to donate to local charities.
In 2025, Proper Pubs operators collected 20,500 selection boxes for local charities and communities in need at Christmas, as well as raising £80,255 for Admiral Taverns’ charity partner, Claire House Hospice.
Last year, Proper Pubs also donated enough food to local foodbanks across the UK to feed 1,300 people for a week.
The operator has also been recognised in the UK-wide defibrillator installation campaign, which has already saved 11 lives.
In 2026, Proper Pubs was listed as a finalist in the Best Community Pub category at the Great British Publican Awards, having previously been crowned Community Pub Operator at the Publican Awards in 2024.
Proper Pubs said it remains committed to supporting operators to run successful pubs with sustainable, long-term futures.
The operator is continuing to seek people who are passionate about pubs and want to play a central role in their local communities.
