The appointment will support the luxury serviced apartment group as it enters its next phase of strategic development.

Cheval Collection continues to grow its international portfolio through management contracts and recently moved into the branded residences sector with properties in London and Dubai.

Antonenko joins Cheval Collection from Keystone Law, where she was a Partner specialising in hospitality.

She brings more than 20 years’ cross-border hospitality experience.

Her career combines in-house legal leadership at InterContinental Hotels Group with partner-level private practice advising international hotel brands, owners, developers and operators.

These have included Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International and Cycas Hospitality.

Antonenko specialises in hotel management, franchise and development agreements, portfolio restructuring, conversions and hotel operations.

She has advised on complex international transactions across EMEA.

Recent mandates include advising Wyndham Hotels & Resorts on brand expansion and development partnerships across South Asia.

Antonenko has also been recognised in the Lexology Index as a Global Leader in Hospitality.

Mohammed Alawadhi, Managing Director of Cheval Collection, said: “We are delighted to welcome Alyona to the team and are confident that her experience, commercial judgement and industry insight will make a significant contribution as we continue to grow our international business.

“Her track record advising on complex commercial transactions and strategic growth initiatives, including international brand launches and development partnerships, will be invaluable as we continue to expand our portfolio and strengthen our position in key markets.”

Antonenko added: “I am thrilled to be joining Cheval Collection at such an exciting stage in its growth.

“Serviced apartments and branded residences are among the most dynamic segments of the hospitality industry, with investors increasingly seeking to enter these markets alongside established brands.

“With a 45-year heritage and a strong reputation for excellence, Cheval Collection is ideally positioned to capitalise on these opportunities, and I look forward to working closely with the leadership team to help deliver the company’s long-term strategic objectives.”

The opening of Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai in March 2025 expanded Cheval Collection’s portfolio to more than 950 units.

Cheval Ladun Living, the group’s first property in Saudi Arabia, is scheduled to open in Riyadh in 2027.

This will be followed by Cheval Maison Sulaymaniyah, located close to King Salman Park in the heart of Riyadh, in 2028.
