Quest Employment Launches Dedicated Catering Division

December 1, 2025

Quest Employment, a trusted name in UK recruitment for more than 30 years, has launched a dedicated Catering Division, marking a significant step forward in its continued growth. Led by Chris Newman, the new division is designed to meet the fast-moving, high-demand needs of the catering and hospitality sector, supporting everything from events and corporate functions to hotels and restaurants.

Founded in 1993, Quest Employment has built its reputation as a leading recruitment partner across industrial, commercial, and technical sectors. The launch of the Catering Division reflects the company’s ambition to become a one-stop staffing provider, offering clients flexible, skilled, and reliable catering talent.

At the centre of the new division is Catering Division Manager Chris Newman. With more than 14 years’ recruitment experience exclusively within the catering and hospitality sector, and prior experience as a general manager and chef, Chris brings operational insight as well as sector expertise.

“Having worked in the industry, I have a full appreciation of our clients’ needs and the standards expected from a recruitment agency,” he says. “We understand the skills required across all our clients’ roles, enabling us to consistently place the right candidate in the right position.”

Under Chris’s leadership, Quest Catering aims to build deep specialist expertise in hospitality recruitment while drawing on the company’s established strengths in flexible staffing.

For hospitality operators, the introduction of Quest Catering provides access to a recruitment partner with scale, speed, and sector understanding. Whether staffing large corporate events or responding to seasonal peaks, clients can rely on Quest for compliant, high-quality staffing solutions. The division is already working with several five-star hotels, Premier League football teams, golf clubs, retail businesses, and national contract caterers, placing talent ranging from event managers and head chefs to kitchen porters and hotel general managers. Quest Catering supports all front- and back-of-house roles, not just chefs.

For candidates, the division opens new pathways, from temporary shifts that fit around other commitments to permanent roles across kitchens and front-of-house teams, backed by a recruiter with longstanding roots in the UK employment market and a growing presence in hospitality.

The launch of Quest Employment’s Catering Division under Chris Newman represents more than a business expansion, it signals a clear commitment to hospitality. By adding specialist catering recruitment to its strong industrial and commercial foundations, Quest is positioning itself as a genuine all-round talent partner for the sector.

This new division is set to support business growth across the industry — and to connect hospitality professionals with opportunities in one of the UK’s most dynamic and demanding fields.
