Opening soon, Italian seafood panino and aperitivo bar, Fish & Bubbles

February 24, 2024

By Angela Green: Opening soon, Fish & Bubbles.

Expanding their portfolio, the brothers behind West London’s La Mia Mamma and Made in Italy are introducing a brand-new concept to London – an Italian seafood panino and aperitivo bar, Fish & Bubbles. Opening on 28th February, the restaurant offers value-led, premium casual dining and a taste of the Italian coast.

Peppe and Angelo Corsaro bring sustainability-sourced gourmet fish panino alongside fritto misto, fish and generous seafood sharing boards and an exclusively Italian wine list and aperitivo menu to Notting Hill’s Kensington Park Road.

Open daily, Fish & Bubbles offers 30 covers and caters for walk-ins, takeaway, and delivery via Deliveroo. By day, lunch and light bites can be ordered via a quick-service kiosk or via mobile app, whilst in the evening, the space transforms into an intimate and relaxed bar, with guests ordering via a QR code with table service from the team. The kiosk-style service ensures accessible prices without needing to compromise on the quality of ingredients. Guests can dine well for £20-£25 per person.

Founder Peppe Corsaro comments: “My fondest memories of growing up in Sicily are the beach days with my family followed by aperitivo, feasting on the best catch of the day, plenty of wine and a fully loaded panino. Fish & Bubbles brings an authentic yet fresh take on the iconic Italian sandwich, using Italian fish recipes passed down through generations and adding quality ingredients into a traditional Rosetta bun for a bite like no other! There will also be fritto misto boards, homemade infused negronis and Italian wine served throughout the day and into the evening – we look forward to bringing a touch of Italian coastal culture to London.”

Unique-to-London, the ‘panino di mare’ menu features a traditional freshly baked Italian rosetta bun generously stuffed with impeccably sourced fish and seafood fillings based on authentic dishes from Polp Fiction – slow-cooked octopus in a rustic Apulian tomato & basil sauce, fried crisps, nduja and mascarpone mayo (£16.50) – to Tuna Turner – cacio e pepe basil cream, tuna tartare, courgettes, roasted tomatoes, stracciatella and rocket (£14). Other dishes include a raft of crudi di mare such as salmon and tuna tartare as well as the caviar of shrimps, Gambero Rosso, plus a selection of fritto misto alongside creative Italian takes on poke bowls.

Sharing boards, for a minimum of two dinners (£18pp), include the Fritto Misto Al Metro, featuring fried seafood by the meter and fish served by the metre on a long wooden board. Sharing boards can be enjoyed with a glass of prosecco or a negroni for just £18 per person from 12pm to 7pm daily.

The bar menu features aged negronis, Hugo and Aperol spritzes and an exclusively Italian wine list with bubbles, reds, whites and rosé.
