Cyrus Todiwala OBE has announced a very special lunch menu will be served to four very lucky diners at Café Spice Namasté later this year.
The reinvented Café Spice Namasté can be found in the historic Docklands, a 60-seater restaurant in one of London’s most dynamic regeneration hotspots, Royal Albert Wharf.
Café Spice Namasté showcases Todiwala’s unique take on Asian cuisine, small plates evoking the flavours of Bombay, Kerala, Goa and Parsee cuisine. All of which can be enjoyed while overlooking the Thames, with views of the Canary Wharf skyline.
The four diners will be selected at this year’s H&C News Golf Day, when a prize draw takes place after dinner.
All funds raised in the prize draw will be shared by Zest Quest Asia, founded in 2013 by Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala to build knowledge of and experience in classical Asian cookery in UK college curricula. As well as The CRUMBS Project, a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged adults by providing hospitality and catering learning and development programmes.
Todiwala explained his support for the event saying: “There has never been a more important time to support young people through their careers in hospitality and catering. Zest Quest Asia supports young people through their culinary education by enabling real life gastronomic experiences. By doing so more young people are better prepared to enter their hospitality careers.
“This is the second year that Pervin and I have been invited to take part in the golf event. It’s great to see so many people we know and make new friends. The funds Zest Quest Asia take away from the day are invested into helping more young people enter into and develop a career in hospitality and catering.
“I am extremely grateful to H&C News, the golf day’s sponsor Meiko UK, and everyone that takes part in what has become a key event for improving recruitment and retention in our industry.
“I will demonstrate my gratitude fully to the four winning diners who I look forward to welcoming to Café Spice Namasté soon.”
More details of the golf day can be seen here, including a video with highlights of last year’s event, and how to join this year’s in September.
