East London restaurant Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is set to re-open their doors on 9th May with a brand-new menu brimming with modern British cuisine championing the very best produce and complemented by fines wines.
After temporarily closing during lockdown, the restaurant re-opened for private events, and is soon fully re-opening with a refreshed, distinctive culinary offering.
At its heart is the best of what’s in season, what’s grown, reared and caught across the length and breadth of the British Isles.
Menu highlights include fresh-off-the-boat oysters from the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands, King scallop in half shell with lardo, pancetta and chervil cream, White Park ancient rare breed steaks from Lyon’s Hill Farm, Welsh lamb rump & shepherd’s pie and Dorset and Wild Suffolk venison.
Other starter highlights include Wild venison carpaccio served with cacao nib, radish and horseradish mayo, Goat’s cheese mousse & cheese crackling, while main dishes menu includes Roast Torbay hake with braised fennel, mussel & clam bisque, and truffle and Parmesan pasta served with spring vegetables and a Parmesan crisp.
The new dessert menu features Hackneys gelatos, raspberry frangipane crumble and chocolate cake with caramelized blood orange sorbet.
Chiswell Street Dining Rooms is situated in the heart of The City and is housed within the famous old Whitbread Brewery.
