By Denis Sheehan, Publisher, H&C News: Accuracy aligned to Institute of Hospitality Golf Day, in Partnership with Caterer.com.
The inaugural Institute of Hospitality Golf Day in Partnership with Caterer.com was a huge success in many ways, most notably by raising £5,225 for the IoH Youth Council supporting young people as they enter a career in hospitality and catering.
It was also a glorious Spring day where hospitality operators and suppliers enjoyed an outstanding round of golf at The Belfry. Followed by a sumptuous three-course dinner delivered by the Chef Brigade at The Belfry, under the stewardship of The Belfry’s Executive Chef Robert Bates.
Neil Fillbrook, President North America, UK & Ireland, Bankbrokers reflected on last year’s golf day telling us: “Business networking, in my opinion, needs to be subtle and relevant. So, for example, at H&C News organised golf days I catch up with people with the same passion for our industry that my team and I have. Over a day of golf, conversations over dinner, we meet many such people.
“So, we now want to build on our involvement and be a more significant part of the day. To that effect, we have decided to become the sponsoring partner for the Nearest the Pin Award. I look forward to presenting the winner with their engraved silver salver award at dinner.
“The work we do in saving our clients’ money in their commercial banking processes aligns well with Nearest the Pin, as we apply accuracy to everything we do daily. It’s just simply what we do and helps firms get ahead.”
Commenting on Bankbrokers commitment to the Institute of Hospitality Golf Day, in Partnership with Caterer.com, IoH CEO Robert Richardson FIH said: “Having benefited from the services provided by Neil and his team at Bankbrokers when I was a hotel GM, I know the value they provide.
“I also know how precise and accurate their work is and how it delivers worth. So I am delighted that Bankbrokers have become our partner and sponsor of the Nearest the Pin award for 2023. This will add extra theatre to both the day and at dinner. Thank you, Neil.”
