H&C News’ Sustainability and Technology roundtable in association with NOUMI took place at Coworth Park in April, bringing a group of industry leaders together to discuss how technology is aiding businesses across the hospitality industry be more sustainable.
The discussions were centred around the first unveiling of the NOUMITM Digital Receipts Solution – comprising the NOUMITM Customer APP and the latest NOUMITM Digital Receipt ‘at counter’ EPOS device.
The NOUMI App product development concept was shared with delegates, how it removes the need for thermal paper receipts totally, or as an option for customers that also want to be more sustainable.
Paper receipts becoming an option was a topic that prompted much conversation, with consensus around the table that this would see most customers opt for digital, following the adoption lifecycle of other technologies similarly.
One thing everyone agreed on was the need for all in hospitality to do everything possible to make hospitality more sustainable. The imperative was: “It’s all about the customer journey.”
