Joining the boutique Buckinghamshire hotel is Fabio Volpe, who has taken on the newly created role of Food & Beverage Manager, and Spa Manager Soraia Fernandes.
They join Noel Capp, who was appointed as Executive Chef in March.
Fabio, who trained in his native Italy, is an experienced food and beverage operator, whose CV includes roles in leading hotels across Europe. He moves from celebrated hotel and country club Ashdown Park in East Grinstead.
Fabio will be overseeing the whole food and beverage operation at the hotel which includes the launch of a new spa lounge, alongside the dining room, drawing room and bar, and terrace area.
Soraia, who holds a management degree from the University of Derby, joins the hotel, which has 30 elegant suites and bedrooms, from Clarins where she was a business manager.
Prior to her role at Clarins, Soraia held several spa manager roles in London, including a position at Luminis Beauty Spa. She will oversee the management of the intimate spa, which will boast six treatment rooms, a nail bar and pedicure room, sauna, and an outdoor whirlpool, and partners with luxury British skincare brand, Temple Spa.
Meanwhile, as executive chef, Noel will be creating a more informal dining offer at the hotel, which includes an all-day dining concept for guests, with menu options including quail Kyiv, parsley and almond salsa verde, and coconut and prawn taco, mango and cucumber salsa.
Noel comes with a wealth of experience having previously held positions at Pinewood Studios, McLaren Technology Centre, and Coworth Park.
Building work throughout the Georgian property’s ground floor and lower ground floor is coming to completion at the four-star property, with the spa expected to open in May.
Renovations have encompassed the hotel’s ground floor public spaces, with new soft furnishings introduced throughout, while a stunning mosaic floor in the reception area and hallway – a discovery during the work – has been restored.
General manager Jason McDaid comments: “We are excited to welcome Fabio, Soraia and Noel to the team. They bring a tremendous amount of skill and expertise to Taplow House Hotel & Spa, and they share our vision for the property, which is to create a luxurious and relaxing space for our guests, and to deliver impeccable service.”
“The opening of our spa next month, combined with the refurbishment of all our public spaces, will be such a significant moment in the history of Taplow House, and I’m honoured to be leading the team at such a momentous time. Together, we cannot wait to share our new surroundings with our treasured guests.”
