BaxterStorey, has reaffirmed its commitment to creating fresh, locally sourced and nutritious food, by hiring its first ever Food Data and Nutrition Manager, Lizzie Hennig.
Lizzie Hennig, Food Data and Nutrition Manager, BaxterStoreyThe brand-new role will see Lizzie working closely with BaxterStorey’s creative chef teams, front-of-house colleagues, and operations to ensure they are equipped with the very best and latest nutritional and data-led information to deliver food excellence to customers across the country. Bringing with her a wealth of experience and expertise – including her previous role as Wellbeing Consultant at ToHealth – Lizzie will ensure food is always at the heart of BaxterStorey by providing nutrition and wellbeing support to colleagues and clients, delivering internal training, consulting on recipe development, and advising the business on nutrition and health legislation.
A registered associate nutritionist with a degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Newcastle University, Lizzie will play an integral role in making healthy eating more accessible and exciting across all of BaxterStorey’s locations, whilst ensuring the business is always operating in accordance with safety, sanitation and quality nutrition standards set by licensed dieticians and the government.
Commenting on her appointment, Lizzie said: “I am delighted to have joined BaxterStorey and look forward to building on the healthier hospitality practices it has in place, such as its fantastic Food EQ and Healthy Me initiatives.
“My focus will be to work closely with our food development team to create exciting new menus, food concepts and practices in response to legislations and our clients’ growing appetite for fresh, locally-sourced and more plant-based and sustainable produce. Ultimately, my work will help to ensure that we’re providing people across all our locations with food choices that are wholesome, balanced, and nutritious and best support their wellbeing in their workplace – whether that’s in the office, at a warehouse or within education.”

It is also important that our focus remains on successfully navigating new and significant legislations, such as Natasha’s Law and the upcoming calorie labelling.
