Trusted foodservice brand Country Range is helping caterers supersize their sweet offerings after adding to its growing catalogue of divine desserts with the addition of four new seductive treats for autumn.
The new range includes a Rhubarb & Custard Tart, that just needs to be defrosted overnight before serving. Great for a sublime speedy serve whatever the hour, these moreish cakes can be warmed in a conventional oven or microwave.
The rhubarb & custard tart has a sweet pastry filled with tangy rhubarb and dairy custard topped with vanilla sponge and an oaty crumble. Delicious when served with vanilla ice cream.
Other new additions to the dessert range include Chocolate & Ginger Cake – A sticky gluten free spiced ginger cake, filled with a chocolate icing, topped with a chocolate ganache and crystallised stem ginger. Double up on the chocolate by serving warm with a chocolate ice cream.
Plum & Almond Slice – Plum compote on sweet pastry baked with almond sponge and finished with plums and flaked almonds. Beautiful with a brew or even more indulgent when served with custard, clotted cream or ice cream.
Pear & Maple Slice – Poached pears baked with a silky vanilla sponge and dulce de leche drizzled with maple syrup. Versatile enough to accompany a hot beverage or take centre stage as a dessert on a menu or buffet when served with fresh whipped cream.
