Westminster whisperers are predicting that Matt Hancock will announce London being placed into the Government’s Tier 3 restrictions today at 3.30pm. The announcement by the Secretary of State for Health is anticipated to take place in the Commons.
There is no official statement or confirmation as yet from Government but too many informed commentators are citing leaked information forming their conclusions.
London MPs have already been briefed on changes this morning with unnamed quotes stating that infection rates are “off the charts”.
The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has been busy this morning giving various interviews to media that seem to unofficially warn of the impending change.
Khan has also been busy at the same time campaigning for the hospitality industry, imploring Government to provide further much needed economic help to hospitality businesses.
