Egg-citing new launch from Country Range

September 25, 2019

With ‘British Egg Week’ taking place from October 7th to the 13th, leading independent foodservice brand Country Range has egg-stended its ever-growing offering in time with the launch of Free Range Medium Eggs.

Sales of eggs are on the rise with consumers and of the 13 million eaten in the UK last year, 22% of those were in foodservice. Naturally high in protein, they are packed with natural goodness and have been described by nutritionists as ‘Nature’s largest vitamin pill’.

All Country Range Free Range Eggs carry the British Lion Quality mark, which means they have been produced under the stringent requirements of the British Lion Code of Practice to ensure the highest standards of food safety, and are produced on a British Lion registered farm. They are fully traceable and each egg has a unique code which refers to its method of production, producer identity and best-before date.

The launch of the cracking new product, which are available through the thirteen independent wholesalers which make up the Country Range Group, will be supported with a range of recipes showing operators how they can take advantage of consumer interest in high protein products.

Country Range Fresh Free Range Medium Eggs – stamped with the British Lion Mark and fully traceable, these free ranges eggs come in pack sizes of 5 dozen and 15 dozen.

Country Range Group’s Brand Manager Vasita Jantabutara said:

“We’re really excited to be launching our Free Range Medium Eggs and with consumer interest on the rise and ‘British Egg Week’ approaching, we feel it’s the perfect time. Eggs are store cupboard essential for caterers, whether they are using them as the star of the show in Instagram-worthy breakfast dishes like ‘Cloud Eggs’ or as an ingredient in cakes or desserts, and our new launch will help meet the increasing demand from caterers and consumers alike.”
