World famous Camden Market has this week opened its doors to the first of the revitalised North Yard, within Stables Market.
The London Market is a constant evolving hub which has embarked on a broad initiative to open more quality food and drink sites for its customers.
The first site to open as part of the initiative is The Camden Grocer, who will open a 1,200 sq ft. site in the historic Stables Market on Monday December 17. The luxury delicatessen and café will sell only the finest food and drink from around the world.
Camden Town boasts over 30 million visitors per year (expected to rise to 50m by 2020) and the Market is rated as one of the top tourist destinations in London.
Located adjacent to the Amy Winehouse statue within London’s bohemian capital, The Camden Grocer is set to be London’s finest grocery store and café, leading the movement for the new artisan style and quality of the Market.
Managing Director at The Camden Grocer, Alec Paterson said: “To be the first to open and front the revitalisation of Camden Market is amazing. We’re so happy to be working in partnership with the amazing team behind the Market, they’re bringing vital expertise to this project.

The Camden Grocer is fronted by Alec Paterson (ex Gelupo Ice Cream), Matthew Bunch (ex Paxton and Whitfield) and Scott Winston (ex Harvey Nichols, Harrods and Selfridges). The team draw upon the partners broad and diverse food retail and restaurants experience to co-own and manage The Camden Grocer.
