Opening its doors today, Japanese izakaya restaurant, Kitsune no yomeiri, will be bringing authentic Japanese food and a late night cocktail bar and club to Moorgate.
Kitsune’s team will be serving up express lunches and quality takeaway for city-workers, a casual dining set-up for the evening, and delivery via Deliveroo and Ubereats.
The menu includes Japanese classics such as chicken katsu, udon noodles and teriyaki chicken and ontrend health bowls like salmon poké and tuna tataki for a lighter lunchtime fix. Key signature dishes include Kitsune hot wings, miso aubergine, niku udon and gyudon (thinly sliced beef and onions simmered in sake and soy sauce, onsen egg, picked ginger and chives) and a range of matcha-infused desserts.
Open from 11am-10pm, Monday-Saturday, Kitsune no yomeiri is split between two levels. The ground floor which features an open plan kitchen design and long communal table accommodates 28 covers. The upper floor will have a mix of seating for 48 covers and can be booked out for private dining and events.
Staying true to traditional izakayas which have a large drinks-focus, the lower ground floor is home to Levels 46, a late night cocktail bar with a capacity of 300 and a license until 5am, the latest in the city. It is also available for private hire.
