Lane7 announces date for Birmingham site launch

July 31, 2018

Lane7, the popular boutique bowling firm, has announced it is set to open its new Birmingham site on August 3rd. The venue will be located in The Cube and will feature a host of cool features for the city’s socialites.

The firm has promised the site will be unlike any other in the UK and will bring a unique vibe to Birmingham’s city centre nightlife.

Bowling remains the trademark feature for the venue, with nine state-of-the-art lanes, split into three different sections on a single level. Lane7 first opened four years ago in Newcastle and has since expanded with sites in Aberdeen and Middlesbrough.

Lane7 isn’t just about bowling however, and the Birmingham site will boast a brand-new UV-lit private karaoke booth, several arcades including retro games like Donkey Kong and Pacman, a ping-pong table, which can also be used for the ever-growingly popular beer-pong variation, and shuffleboard tables.

Private and exclusive hire of lanes will also be available to those who fancy a special event, offering bespoke packages to parties and corporate events.  Help yourself to a drink from the lane-side Smeg fridge, stocked with a selection of premium drinks from a range of packages, designed to suit your event.

Tim Wilks, founder of Lane7 said: “We’ve had a great reception from the Birmingham public and seen loads of interest since we announced we would be coming to the Midlands, so we knew we had to make this site special.

“Bowling will always be our mainstay but we’re far more than that, we’re an entertainment venue at our core. The arcades, karaoke, beer and ping-pong have been a huge hit in some of our other sites and it’s also great to be able to bring a brand-new feature in shuffleboard which we think Birmingham will love. With a late licensed bar offering the best cocktails and spirits in town, Birmingham won’t know what’s hit it.”

“Unfortunately, we’ve been brainwashed for the last 20 years into thinking bowling is about plastic seats and plastic hot dogs in the dreary surroundings of a retail park. Lane7 is bringing the glamour back into bowling in the heart of city nightlife.”

Ahead of launch, Lane7 will be flooding the city with thousands of badges, which will have exclusive offers on them, giving customers the opportunity to be one of the first to visit the site with discounted and free offers.
