Launching this July, The Belrose will be a neighbourhood local with a difference, bringing Belsize Park a modern take on the British pub with a menu of Italian-inspired dishes and an on-site microbrewery, presented within a stylish, convivial space with a beautiful adjoining garden.
Nestled between Belsize Park and Chalk Farm on Haverstock Hill, and just a short stroll from Primrose Hill, The Belrose will be a contemporary converted pub serving an all-day menu of rustic Italian dishes focused on locally-sourced produce. An impressive clay oven will take centre stage, serving up pizzas that showcase authentic ingredients and classic flavour combinations, such as Tuscan sausage with Stichelton; Prosciutto, pecorino, tomato and rocket and Roasted peppers and smoked anchovy.
Serving from noon to 10pm daily, The Belrose will also offer a varied selection of charcuterie, cheeses and small plates, including Roasted formaggio with smoked paprika and sourdough and Burrata, blood orange, shaved fennel and spicy hazelnut, as well as larger plates such as Ribeye tagliata, rocket and smoked sea salt and Tagliatelle with oxtail ragu. At weekends, guest can expect an all-day brunch menu, with a roast planned for Sundays.
Alongside the house IPA brewed in the on-site microbrewery, the drinks offering at the Belrose will include a selection of natural wines, such as a Clarete Rosé from La Palma, and international beers, including a number of bottles exclusive to The Belrose in the UK. Italian favourite Moretti and Californian Lagunitas will be offered on draft, while bottled beers will include Spanish Cervezas Alhambra, Tegernsee Hell from Bavaria and Cuban Palma Crystal. An extensive selection of wines, cocktails, spirits and softs will also be offered.
The Belrose’s South-facing garden seating over 40 covers will make the pub a go-to for al fresco drinking and dining this summer, serving seasonal drinks from a dedicated outdoor bar. In the colder months, the space will be made over into a winter wonderland, with heaters, blankets and warming mulled drinks.
The dining room, which will seat over 80 covers, will combine table seating, cosy booths and relaxed sofas, as well as counter dining around the bar and open kitchen, offering front row seats on the clay oven. A separate snug area, furnished with bookshelves and magazine racks, will seat an additional 15 covers, offering a more intimate, cosy space, also available for private hire.
