Stonegate £500,000 investment in the north west

February 28, 2018

Two Stonegate pubs in the Northwest have opened, after two transformations with a combined investment of £500,000 generated sixteen new jobs.

Music Hall Taps replaced its predecessor Missoula in Chester, and the Addison Arms returned to its 1980’s roots to take the place of Yates’ at the heart of the town.

The two-storey Music Hall Taps got the latest in pub trends with craft beers, neon lights, shuffleboard, pool tables, live sports and live music. Every bit suave as funky, reclaimed wood, urban décor, and industrialised finishes provide the perfect setting for a fun, entertaining environment. An urban menu of Sourdough pizzas, tempting tapas sharers, and supreme burgers such as Japanese Wagyu Beef Burger aimed at city-dwellers and students.

In Bootle, MP Peter Dowd was just one local visiting its town centre’s newest addition, a pub still known locally as the Addison Arms from its former years in the eighties. Extensive sports, entertainment, craft beer and a bank of national and local real ale brought in traditional pub values to suit local needs.

“Our regulars were pleased to see the old name back above the door,” said manager Rob Gordon of the Addison Arms whilst John Barlow of the Music Hall Taps said: “The comments about the funky look were brilliant and just goes to show that ‘fun’ is the new ‘contemporary’ in pubs.”

The two openings are part of a Capex programme that has seen twelve post investment openings so far this February alone totalling £3.5m.
