Hippy Fish is a new, chilled out destination, offering the capital premium, customisable poke bowls, joining the evolution of the poke market.
Poke is a dish made of raw, cubed and marinated fish, that is served either on its own or over a bowl of sushi rice. It hails from Hawaii and was first created by native fishermen, who would make it from the day’s catch on the docks.
With poke having “boomed in popularity in London” within the past year, Hippy Fish’s aim is meeting this increasing demand through a premium menu that focuses on innovation.
Drawing inspiration from the original Hawaiian poke, Hippy Fish goes beyond the traditional poke bowl offering, with innovative creations and unique ingredients and flavours. Using seasonal produces from across the globe, Hippy Fish creates the UK’s most premium poke with the first ever Black Caviar & Lobster Poke bowl. Further inventive offerings on the menu include antioxidant-rich, detoxifying black rice, and organic poached chicken, unabashedly ‘playing’ with the poke concept to create something truly bespoke.
With a focus on quality, Hippy Fish sources fresh sushi grade fish from experienced suppliers. In response to growing concerns regarding plastic levels in the oceans, Hippy Fish’s packaging consists of biodegradable, eco-friendly bowls and cutlery, keeping in line with the venue’s ethical and environmental values.
On the recent launch, Co-Founder Ed Britz commented, “Hippy Fish has a unique offering in London, with innovation and creativity at the heart of the brand. We want to lead the evolution of the expanding poke market through our unique creations, pushing boundaries and producing truly unique poke bowls.
“We’re passionate about food and health, which is why we’ve spent months identifying the right suppliers to ensure we are using the best fish and ingredients to produce great tasting dishes.
“We decided to use biodegradable bowls and cutlery as we wanted to ensure that everything we do reflects our ethical and environmental conscious values.”
