Throughout December, 50p from every loaf of bread (400g or larger) from a range of 12 different varieties sold at PAUL bakery will be donated to London based charity, The Felix Project’s latest programme, Help a Hungry Child.
Having raised £15,013 for the charity last year, PAUL continues its support by donating unsold products to the charity on a daily basis.
The Felix Project distributes London’s surplus fresh food which would otherwise go to waste, to feed the homeless, those living in poverty and families struggling to get by. This year’s Christmas campaign aims to raise the funds to feed primary school children across London, no matter what their circumstances are.
PAUL will also be raising additional funds for The Felix Project, and partnering charity StreetSmart, through its two restaurants with a £1 voluntary bill donation at Le Restaurant de PAUL Tower 42 and Le Restaurant de PAUL Covent Garden.
CEO of PAUL UK Jean-Michel Orieux comments: “The Felix Project is a close charity of ours and we are honoured with the progress we have made so far. Being able to feed young children around this time of year is an initiative we are delighted to be a part of and have every confidence that we can raise a higher sum this winter”.
Baking bread since 1889, PAUL’s philosophy is simple: excellent bread depends on excellent ingredients and time-honored methods of production. All PAUL bread is made using traditional French recipes, baked with time and care, fresh every day in the ovens of PAUL bakeries across London and beyond, ready to be enjoyed at its best.
