Badrutt’s Palace is delighted to announce that the Swiss Michelin Guide has awarded IGNIV@Badrutt’s Palace, by Andreas Caminada, its first Michelin Star, an outstanding accolade following just nine months in operation.
The second gourmet nest by the award winning chef, Andreas Caminada, marked the introduction of the much acclaimed sharing concept at Badrutt’s Palace, the Grand Dame of St Moritz.
Under the watchful eye of Chef Marcel Skibba, IGNIV has flourished in its first nine months of operation, bringing fresh and perfectly executed dishes, served on sharing platters to both guests and visitors alike. Having worked with Andreas Caminada since 2015, Skibba is well accustomed to the creativity and innovation that has earned Caminada his exemplary reputation in the international culinary sphere.
IGNIV, meaning ‘nest’ in Rhaeto-Romance, Switzerland’s fourth official language, takes residence in the iconic hotel’s Le Relais restaurant and combines the art of fine dining with the relaxed atmosphere and ambience of a family meal at home.
Commenting on the recent award, Andreas Caminda says “The first Michelin star is always a great accolade, but especially after such a short time. I am so thrilled for Marcel and am extremely grateful to the whole team in Badrutt’s Palace Hotel. Their brilliant achievement perfectly embodies the essence of IGNIV”
Hans Wiedemann, Managing Director and Delegate of the Board at Badrutt’s Palace is also delighted: “We would like to congratulate Marcel Skibba and his team most sincerely.
