Northamptonshire countryside hotel Whittlebury Hall has appointed Harvey Lockwood as head chef of its recently refurbished 2 AA Rosette restaurant, Murrays.
The 30-cover restaurant, which closed in at the start of the year for the refurbishment to take place, is now open, serving both an a la carte and six-course tasting menu designed to showcase the finest local and British ingredients.
Award-winning chef Harvey returns to Whittlebury Hall to run Murrays restaurant, having previously worked as head chef at the hotel.
Harvey has also previously worked at five-star hotels Cowarth Park and The Vineyard in Berkshire, and at 3 AA Rosette restaurant The Landau at The Langham in London.
Harvey Lockwood said: “I’ve always loved fine-dining cuisine and enjoyed working in Murrays when I was at Whittlebury Hall before. Having gone away to gain greater experience of hotel F&B management, I’m now incredibly excited to be able to return and make my mark on Murrays. With the refurbishment that’s taken place over the summer giving the restaurant a more modern look and feel, I’ll be exploring new tastes, working closely with local Northamptonshire producers and experimenting with modern cooking techniques to create menus which excite and delight our guests.”
