To kick off the upcoming NFL season Heliot Steak House, the award-winning restaurant located inside The Hippodrome, is launching London’s largest plate of nachos, as part of its annual NFL menu, which launches on 10th September and runs every Sunday until the end of the season in February 2018.
Inspired by the great American appetite, Head Chef Ioannis Grammenos, has created a classic touchdown of a dish – the Heliot Monster Nachos – which weigh in at an impressive 4,040g (4.04kg).
This jaw-dropping dish,designed to serve eight people, has eleven delicious ingredients, expertly piled high, including 800g of tortillas, 750g of five bean chilli, 300g of USDA prime ribeye steak, 300g of chicken, 200g of guacamole and equal amount of soured cream, topped with a liberal scattering of 1000g of grated cheese.
To celebrate the launch of this star quarterback of a dish, this year Heliot is running a challenge worthy of a superbowl winner: if four diners can finish the whole plate of Monster Nachos in 20 minutes without fumbling, they win it for free, along with a £100 voucher for Heliot Steak House and a pitcher off beer to wash it all down.
The extensive Heliot NFL menu also includes three versions of classic game food, the hot dog; the Chicago Dog, topped with banana peppers, pickled relish, tomato and onions; the Detroit Dog, topped with chilli cheese and onions; and the New York Dog, topped with sauerkraut sautéed in tomato spicy and spicy mustard.
Other options include a Cuban sandwich filled with pulled pork, ham, chicken, salad and cheese sauce, a cheese quesadilla with sour cream and a chicken sandwich with herbs, all served with fries. Game fans can also enjoy an array of favourites including; cheeseburgers, jalapeño poppers and buffalo wings.
The NFL menu will be available every Sunday from 10th September until early February, served from 5pm to midnight.
