Fabulous Fan Fayre, part of One Event Management, a collection of experience enhancing brands encompassing food, service and luxury travel, triumphed at the Sports & Leisure Catering Awards last night, taking home the ‘Innovation Award’ for Fabulous Fan Fayre’s (F3) ‘Not for Profit’ programme, at the ceremony held at London’s BAFTA 195 Piccadilly.
The award win recognized the ‘Not for Profit’ programme run by Fabulous Fan Fayre (F3), the specialist catering and hospitality provider at both the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and Vicarage Road in Watford. An industry first for stadium catering in the UK, the innovative fundraising programme invites local charities to volunteer alongside the F3 team on a match day, in a dedicated ‘Not For Profit’ charity kiosk at the Etihad Stadium. Following the success of the programme, F3 have also rolled out the scheme at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road stadium where they currently have three ‘Not for Profit’ kiosks operating on match days.
The scheme sees charities take home a percentage of the revenue made from food and beverage sales at the kiosk, with this increasing based on the kiosk staff hitting certain targets including customer feedback, completing paperwork on time, cleaning up and wearing correct uniforms. F3 was also recognised for its work with charities such as Street Soccer Academy, who rehabilitate young offenders through football with the aim of reducing re-offending rates, and through the scheme, F3 has provided invaluable work experience opportunities as well as developing participants’ life skills and confidence.
Neil Worcester, Managing Director at F3 said: “Our dedicated team works tirelessly to push the boundaries of what is expected at sporting stadia and it’s fantastic to see our hard work acknowledged. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do at F3 and through schemes such as the ‘Not for Profit’ programme, we are delighted to be able to support local charities and the wider community”
