For the second year running, Zafferano Catering and Fisher Productions have collaborated on another signature event to celebrate their venue relationships.
This year’s event, saw blank canvas venue, “Carousel Next Door” transformed by Fisher Productions into an immersive VIP airport departure lounge and aircraft cabin complete with check-in desk, bespoke VIP Champagne Bar, aviation themed graphics and seating, in addition to ambient lighting and sound with intermittent airport announcements.
To set the tone the venue guests were sent a Boarding Pass invitation to check in with “Fisher Airlines” with the promise of “first class inflight service from Zafferano”
Zafferano’s bar and serving staff were styled as immaculate cabin crew, greeting guests, pointing out emergency exits and serving chilled fizz and little packets of Zafferano Home-Roast nuts from the in-flight trolley. They even handed around hot towels!
The bespoke menu was circulated from signature cloud trays with one canape “Foie Gras and Cherry Cigarello with Malt Ash” served from cigar boxes – flagrantly flouting the smoking ban, and harking back to the Golden Era of air travel.
In the Departure Lounge bar, Zafferano mixologists served 2 on-brand cocktails, named “Clean Air” and “The Pan Am”
A sushi style conveyor belt food stall became the baggage carousel, with small plates served from coloured mini suitcases, complete with Zafferano luggage tags.
For business class passengers an all-day breakfast of “Truffled chicken sausage, quails egg, pancetta, fresh truffle and fried brioche” prepared them for their onward journey to Mexico, with Mexican cocktails and a Fiesta Dessert Stall served on the lower ground floor.
