Hannah Haas, Head of Marketing at The Food Doctor, said:
“The response to the Popped Crisp Thins from the foodservice sector has been amazing so we’re excited to be extending the range with the roll out of our Goodness Bars. With wide ranging health benefits and vibrant taste profiles, these types of bars are the perfect guilt-free, anytime snack. With the health opportunity growing by the day, we believe the range can become key players with the foodservice sector in the years to come.”
Comments from Gemma Shorter, in house Nutritionist at The Food Doctor:
“We recently commissioned a study into women and healthy snacking in conjunction with YouGov and its revelations and findings showed that almost two thirds (59%) of women snack at least twice or more a day and more than half (56%) of those who enjoy a bite between meals regularly choose fruit as a snack. The survey also highlighted that a staggering 84% of all British women still admit to feeling guilty about snacking, while around two in five women (43%) confess to being confused by the media messages around snacking and healthy eating. This certainly shows the need and demand for more healthy snacks that taste great and do good meaning no post snack guilt. It also highlights the importance of a clear message around health benefits so consumers can buy with confidence and know what they are getting.”
