Award winning events caterer, Seasoned, has appointed Heidi Hatfield as its new Venue Relationship Manager, to build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with current and prospective venues.
Heidi brings with her 12 years’ experience within the events industry. Speaking about her new appointment, she said: “I am delighted to be working for Seasoned, having worked with them previously at a number of venues. Venues are my passion and I am very excited to be working with some of the best venues in London.”
Having successfully completed a degree in PR and an internship at Frank PR in 2004, Heidi took a full-time role at travel PR specialists Four bgb, working on the Wales Tourist Board and Science Museum accounts. Two years later she joined the Science Museum events team promoting their event spaces, which lead to an expanded role that included the Science Museum Swindon, the National Media Museum and the National Railway Museum.
Following a move back home to the North East in 2009, she became Event Manager at the National Science Learning Centre; a state-of-the-art facility based on the University of York campus, responsible for all commercial events from enquiry to completion.
In 2012 Heidi worked at Durham County Council, coordinating the Safety Advisory Group with representatives from the Council and North East emergency services, overseeing regional events including the Queen’s Jubilee and Olympic torch celebrations, Lumiere Durham – the UK’s largest, bi-annual light festival – and the Lindisfarne Gospels at Durham Cathedral; attracting over 300,000 visitors to the region.
Heidi returned to London as Business Development Manager at Old Billingsgate for 15 months, before moving to Concerto to focus on their association business and strengthening relationships with Create catered venues. During this time, Create secured an exclusive catering contract with Xcite to cater at Landing Forty Two at The Leadenhall Building, which lead to her becoming the Venue Director and an integral part of the venue’s launch.
Heidi joins Seasoned after a short break from the events industry, spent enjoying time with her family in North Yorkshire. Debbie Poulton, Event Sales Manager at Seasoned, said: “We interviewed a number of excellent candidates for this role, but Heidi’s venue experience and enthusiasm set her apart, and she very much shared our vision for the future of Seasoned as we move into a new and exciting phase.”
Managing Partner of Seasoned, Colin Sayers, added: “Heidi has a stellar reputation in the industry and I am confident she will have a big impact on sales due to her extensive experience.”
