Paul Twomey has been appointed General Manager of Classic Lodges-owned Grovefield House Hotel near Windsor, aiming to grow the conference and events side of the business and establish it as a destination hotel.
Paul started his career at the Millennium Knightsbridge Hotel in London as Deputy General in 1999. Two years later and he took on the same role at the Jury’s Doyle Clifton Ford Hotel in Welbeck Street. He then moved on to the first of the IHG hotels, becoming the Operations Manager at the Holiday Inn Reading South.
“I have an incredible passion for the industry and the area having lived and worked locally for 25 years,” Paul says. “We have a great team here at Grovefield and one that I know will work with me to take this fantastic hotel forward.
“One of our greatest assets is the home from home feel about the hotel. I want to have far greater involvement than a GM usually would, focusing on every detail to ensure the greatest level of customer service to every visitor.”
Richard Grime, Managing Director of Classic Lodges says Paul’s experience in managing a number of hotels was instrumental in his appointment: “Grovefield is one of our most popular hotels and we have every confidence that Paul will cement and enhance its place in the local community, and further afield to welcome even more visitors in future.”
