Michelin starred chef Ollie Dabbous is to host a three-day pop up at Sotheby’s New Bond Street galleries. The restaurant, which will pair Ollie’s creations with art by some of the greatest British artists, Dame Barbara Hepworth and Frank Auerbach among them, will open its doors for just three days on the evenings of 10th, 11th and 12th June.
Ollie’s bespoke six-course tasting menu will be paired with carefully selected fine wines to enhance the matchless experience.
The evening will start with a drinks reception featuring cocktails and the finest English sparkling wine by Nyetimber and a personal welcome from Ollie, followed by an intricately crafted menu that celebrates the very best of specially sourced British ingredients inspired by the colours, forms, subjects and stories that feature in Sotheby’s forthcoming Modern & Post-War British Art sale.
This unique experience is limited to 70 diners per night and will cost £250 per person including wine. Tickets can be purchased from the Sotheby’s website.
Commented Ollie Dabbous, “This menu offers a new take on the very best of Great British food and incorporates elements that resonate with the incredible paintings and sculptures that will be on view. When creating each of the dishes I was drawn to the different colours and textures, particularly with the more shape-driven abstract artworks that diners will be surrounded by. I was also very interested in where the artists came from, and the regional stories behind the works, as I am passionate about the locations that I source ingredients from.”
