Revolution Bars Group PLC, the UK’s premium bar and casual dining operator, has revealed more details about the latest Revolution to be added to the portfolio; the group’s 61st site. Currently undergoing an impressive £1 million investment, the new Stafford venue will launch in May, and comes after a number of successful new openings in 2015.
This is the latest stage in Revolution Bar Group PLC’s on-going development strategy, which saw three Revolución de Cuba sites opened in the final quarter of 2015. Revolution Bars Group PLC has a dedicated strategy for growth in place to ensure its two hugely popular brands continue to develop. Stafford is the first opening from the Revolution brand in three and a half years.
The location of the new site has been expertly chosen by the Revolution team, and will sit within the Riverside area of Stafford, which is currently undergoing an extensive £70 million redevelopment, with the addition of new retail units, a six-screen cinema and a 1,000 space multi-storey car park.
The bar will therefore by ideally located in an area with high footfall and a customer base focused on relaxing and enjoying themselves. To capitalise on this, the new Revolution will have an outside dining area, attracting passers-by throughout the different day parts, and allowing its customers to dine al fresco by the river in the warmer months.
The opening will create over 45 new full and part-time jobs for people in Stafford, while the General Manager has been hired internally from the Revolution in Ipswich, further demonstrating the opportunities for career progression available for those who join the team.
As part of the launch activity, and to build awareness in the local area, Revolution Bars Group PLC has sponsored the Stafford Half Marathon, which took place on Sunday 20th March 2016. It has given the Revolution team the chance to not only take part in a local event, but to also raise money in support of the Katharine House Hospice, a Staffordshire charity supporting people with advanced life-limiting conditions.
Mark McQuater, CEO of Revolution Bars Group PLC, said: “We are delighted to be opening our new Revolution bar, the group’s 61st site and our first so far this calendar year. We have an ambitious development plan for the year ahead in place as both of our brands have real potential for growth and we are keen to expand as much as possible.
“The new location is brilliant, and we are sure our customers will love it. The redevelopment will bring some great bars and restaurants to Stafford, and we are so excited that we will be based alongside this. We hope our customers love the new venue as much as we do, and we have huge plans for the launch weekend, including a big party which will have music, entertainment, food and our famous vodka masterclasses.”
