The independent bar and restaurant group Darwin & Wallace is thrilled to announce the opening of ‘No29’ early in 2017 as part of Phase One of the multi-million pound development at Battersea Power Station. Joining a community of hand picked retail outlets, restaurants and shops, No29 is a modern interpretation of the local neighbourhood pub. With innovative design, great food and drink, No29 will be an all-day, independent venue indicative to the local area welcoming residents and visitors through its doors.
Surrounded by ‘best in class design’ from world-renowned architects and designers this is one of the largest regeneration projects in Europe. No29 is proud to offer a modern vision of its own, as the sole pub provider in Phase One.
Brainchild of Mel Marriott and funded by The Imbiba Partnership, Darwin & Wallace is a collection of local independent neighbourhood bar/restaurants in quintessential London villages. Located on a beautiful corner site, No29 will be offering an all-day casual bar dining experience with a carefully curated menu of exquisite drinks and locally sourced food set within a beautiful interior that will draw inspiration from the iconic Battersea Power Station.
Mel Marriott, Darwin & Wallace Managing Director comments, “We are all incredibly excited to be a part of Battersea Power Station’s regeneration development and the growing community within it. Together with our team of artisans and carefully selected suppliers, we are looking forward to seeing our vision of a modern twenty first century pub, complete with unique design, food and drink paired with the spirit of Battersea come to life in No29.”
The group opened its first location, No 11 Pimlico Road in Belgravia in 2012, followed by No 32 The Old Town in Clapham in 2014. No 1 Duke Street followed in Richmond in 2015 and the fourth location set to open in the heart of Chiswick this April. Created by artisans of interiors, food and drink, each location is individually designed with a contemporary style, reflecting both local and global influences. More home than high street, the bars provide the perfect backdrop for relaxed all day eating and drinking.
Rich in independent spirit, Darwin & Wallace works with hand-picked local suppliers to create real places with integrity, reflecting the local area and wider global influences in both design and menu. Each bar features unique design elements to resonate with its local market. No29 will be no exception with design plans that will celebrate Battersea’s iconic Power Station.
No29 will open in 2017 at Circus West in the first phase of the Battersea Power Station development.
