Harrogate-based Scandinavian café Baltzersen’s has appointed Neil Bell as head chef.
Neil joins Baltzersen’s from award-winning So! bar and eats where he held the position of executive chef for eight years. Prior to that Neil worked as a chef at The Mother Shipton Inn in Knaresborough before various sales roles, most recently for Miller Food Service.
Comments Neil: “I have been a regular customer of Baltzersen’s for many years. It’s cool, laid back atmosphere and independent ethos is what brought me here for a coffee every week so to now be head chef is really exciting. I have lots of new ideas which I’ll be trying out over the next few months and I can’t wait to take Baltzersen’s to the next level.”
Says owner Paul Rawlinson: “We are delighted to welcome Neil to our expanding team. His local knowledge and experience will be an asset to the café as well as his enthusiasm and eagerness to develop the success of the business.”
Baltzersen’s was recently commended in the ‘Best Cheap Eats’ category of the prestigious Observer Food Monthly (OFM) Awards.
