Armourcoat’s new Rusteel wall finish has won the NAS Design Partnership ‘Best Product’ Award 2015. Held in London on 24th September, the NAS (National Association of Shopfitters) Design Partnership Awards celebrated the most visionary collaboration between the very best of interior design and innovative fit out contractors. The ‘Best Product’ Award for Rusteel was presented on the night to Armourcoat CEO Guy Whitehead by Vanessa Brady OBE, President of the Society of British & International Design (SBID).
The Rusteel finish offers an authentic rusted iron or patina effect, creating an aged, weather-beaten, metal surface. This time-worn finish similar to weathering (or Corten) steel is created from a water-based paint with metal particles which naturally tarnish when activated.
Rusteel was presented at Decorex International in September alongside a stunning range of hand-applied polished plaster wall finishes, pre-cast bas relief panels and Shou-Sugi-Ban style timber planks. The stand also showcased the Signature Collection. Devised by Armourcoat founder Duncan MacKellar, this exclusive range of polished plaster wall finishes reflects his unique creativity and passion. Creating rich, opulent and luxurious interiors, these artisan finishes represent the highest level of product mastery, redefining the technique and underlining Armourcoat’s lead role in the industry.
