The Sunday Times reports that Richard Caring’s restaurant and nightclub empire enjoyed significant sales progress in 2013. After another busy 2014, we can expect still more progress when results are reported.
Caprice Holdings, which operates many of London’s best known fine dining establishments including the Ivy (pictured above), Le Caprice, Scott’s and J Sheekey, had sales increase by three per cent to £53.3m in 2013.
Mark Birley Holdings, which owns Harry’s Bar, saw a two per cent rise in sales to £20.6m.
Whilst Annabel’s, famed resort of many ‘A-listers’ including royalty, increased sales by one per cent to £8.5m.
Richard Caring began his career in the rag trade, and joined the hospitality and leisure sector when he bought Wentworth Golf Club, since sold, and then Caprice Holdings in 2005.
Results for 2014 can be expected to be even more interesting: Caring has been investing in new restaurant activities, including Grillshack in Soho and the rapidly expanding Bill’s restaurant chain.
