As its growth strategy continues apace, it is announced that Harry Ramsden’s has appointed Frank Romano to the newly created position of Franchise Director with immediate effect.
Widely respected within the hospitality and leisure industry, Frank’s background includes Little Chef, where as Chief Operating Officer reporting to the Chairman & Main Board, he masterminded the brand’s return to profit and subsequent sale.
Frank’s expertise and experience is further underlined in the positions he has held working alongside leading business figures including leisure tycoon Trevor Hemmings and entrepreneur John Caudwell.
He enjoyed success at Hemmings’ Herald Inns and Bars which he joined in 2004 as Managing Director. Prior to this he was Associate Director in the specialist, and at the time, revolutionary electronic ‘top-up’ division of Cauldwell’s Phones 4 U.
Joe Teixeira, CEO of Harry Ramsden’s comments:
“With his wealth of experience and first class track record, we are delighted to announce Frank’s appointment to this important new role within Harry Ramsden’s. Frank will be charged with accelerating our ambitious franchising model which is set to deliver over 100 new UK outlets, as a result of agreements in place for Yorkshire, Scotland and South West Sussex. And with a franchise agreement already in place for Qatar, Frank will also be exploring overseas opportunities which will further increase the brand’s international presence.”
