Latest news from BrewDog shows it maintaining its hectic pace on bar openings and new beer offerings.
Next BrewDog opening will be in mid-late October in Liverpool, at 1 Manolis Yard on Colquit Street – no fewer than ‘30 draft lines, 2 gnarly old shipping containers converted into beer cellars and a weird outside-inside-outside thing that we love without really understanding’.
BrewDog have also agreed a deal for the former Blind Tiger in Brighton, which will open in 16 weeks time. To be followed by the Glasgow Merchant City site – delayed by Glasgow City Council so likely to be early 2015. March 2014 should see a bigger site in Leeds (at Crispin Lofts on New York Road).

Prototype challenge
BrewDog is at work on recipes and pilot batches for its 2014 prototype challenge, which could include a ‘flavour forward gluten free ale’, as well as a ‘super tasty sub 3% hopped up mild, a spin on an amber ale with some alt beer influence (Alt as in the old German beer style as opposed to ‘alternative’) and an IPA utilizing slightly unusual hopping schedules’.
