Worldwide events and catering company Absolute Taste has catered for the celebrations to launch the new exhibition at the LINLEY flagship store in Pimlico, London.
The fascinating interactive exhibition, entitled “A Celebration of British Design, Craftsmanship, Engineering & Innovation”, is curated by David Linley and Scott Simpson and opened on Thursday 27 February. The exhibition will showcase selected British brands that are renowned for the design and creation of fine objects such as McLaren Automotive, Nyetimber, Gladstone Motorcycles, Bremont Watches and Rolls Royce Aerospace.
Best in British suppliers to deliver creative and individual canapés
In keeping with the exhibition, founder Lyndy Redding and her team have sourced out the best in British suppliers to design a menu of creative and individual canapés. Suppliers featured include Ocean Fleet scallops, Yorkshire reared Dexter Beef, Thatchams Torre Meadow Lamb, H. Forman & Sons smoked salmon and Berkswell cheese. The British themed canapés include beer batter Pollack with chunky chips served in Union Jack cones topped with homemade tartare sauce; and asparagus spears served with a Berkswell and fresh herb cream dip in little individual egg shells (pictured above), presented on salt. The pudding canapés include English garden inspired ice cream balls covered with white, dark and milk chocolate (violet cream, mint choc chip, rose cream and lemon sorbet, elderflower and mint).
Lyndy Redding comments, “I love events with Linley at their beautiful store and so to work on this exhibition, showcasing the best of British, is a real delight. Absolute Taste is all about using locally sourced ingredients and so to design a British menu is something we have really loved doing and it is a great occasion for everyone to taste the finest British products.”
