Simon and Rena Gueller, owners of the Box Tree Restaurant in Ilkley, are delighted to announce today that they have retained their Michelin Star for the 8th year running. Simon Gueller celebrates 13 years of holding Michelin Star status and is delighted to be one of the longest standing chefs in Yorkshire to hold this position.
The Michelin Guide has moved its annual announcement from January to October and with the 2012 Great Britain and Ireland Michelin Guide available now, Simon and Rena are more than happy to announce this good news 3 months earlier.
Winning its first Michelin Star in 2005, 5 months after opening, the Restaurant continues to go from strength to strength, and with a new head chef working with Executive Chef Simon, the team at the The Box Tree may celebrate in style but will also continue to work hard to provide exceptional standards to which many restaurants aspire.
Says Simon Gueller: ‘It is tremendous news for us, for the team and for our clients. This is what we’re all about, and working hard to retain the Star, if not enhance our offer, is a goal to which we continue to strive.
Being recognised by such a renowned authority in our industry on the best of the very best is an accolade with which we are delighted.’
