Pig in a Poke, the contemporary wine company, has announced today that it will be sponsoring the Manchester Evening News’ Diary Party, a party to celebrate its popular celebrity Diary Pages. The event will also celebrate the Lowry Hotel’s 10th Birthday and is taking place on the 20th May at the Lowry Hotel, with over 1,000 guests invited.
Guests will include high profile business people and entrepreneurs, including TV/film and radio personalities, sports personalities, celebrities and local politicians.
“It’s great to have a young, forward-thinking brand like Pig in a Poke on board as wine sponsor for our big party of the year,” said Dianne Bourne, Editor of the Diary Pages, Manchester Evening News. “We are all looking forward to toasting success on the night with Pig in a Poke wines.”
The event’s venue, the Lowry Hotel, is the first five-star hotel in Manchester. Described as Manchester’s most fashionable hotel, the award-winning Lowry Hotel is situated on the banks of the River Irwell.
“The Lowry Hotel is delighted to be working in partnership with Pig in a Poke wines for our forthcoming Diary Party, and to be welcoming the range of Pig in a Poke wines to our extensive wine list in The River Bar and Restaurant,” said Helen Hipkiss, PR & Marketing Manager, The Lowry Hotel.
The event will be held in the Grand Ballroom, with drinks and canapés provided for guests throughout the evening. Pig in a Poke will have a wine bar in the Grand Ballroom on the night, and will also be sponsoring gift bags that will be given out to guests.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Pig in a Poke, and we’re thrilled to be sponsoring this high-profile event,” said Jo Morrell, Enjoyment Executive at Pig in a Poke. “We’re part of the enjoyment business, and Pig in a Poke is dedicated to enhancing the experience of all the guests at events like these. We will be in direct contact with our target audience, and will have a chance to show off the strong brand image that we’ve created for Pig in a Poke.”
Pig in a Poke has previously provided wine for a range of events, including an event at Coco’s bar in Maidenhead, where Home Secretary Theresa May MP attended. Communicating with its audience through the medium of TV, Pig in a Poke has provided wine for a range of television shows, including Got To Dance, Alan Carr’s Chatty Man and Dating in the Dark.
Pig in a Poke offers a red, white and rosé wine, and builds its values on the taste of its wine and experience of those that drink it. The consumers of Pig in a Poke have even chosen their own wine; at a tasting event, consumers voted on what flavours they liked the best, and the most popular have become Pig in a Poke’s ‘The Old Spot’ wine range.
