To manage and develop the Bars standards and to ensure maximisation of departmental profits. To optimise guest satisfaction through consistent high operating standards. To carry out Management shifts and take responsibility for entire operation.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
STAFF
- To develop staff by constant training.
- To carry out induction and training of all front of house personnel.
- To assist in staff selection.
- To ensure that Company Disciplinary Procedures are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities.
- To complete Fourth Payroll duties and recording lateness and sickness.
- To carry our staff briefings and training sessions.
- To gain and encourage staff feedback.
- To ensure staff meet standards of grooming.
SALES AND COSTS
- To maximise sales potential.
- To work within budgeted costs.
- To minimise abuse of operating equipment.
- To ensure that requisitions for supplies are completed, delivered and accounted for.
- To ensure that there is enough operating equipment at all times.
- To record all voids.
- To report any payment discrepancies to Regional Bars Manager.
- To follow Company procedures when handling cash, credit cards and cheques.
COMMUNICATION
- To see guests concerning all complaints. To report all complaints to Regional Bars Manager.
- To maintain a high customer profile.
- To liase with colleagues over guests requirements and needs.
- To ensure handover at shift end and beginning.
- To liase with Head Chef on a regular basis.
- To gain customer feedback at all times.
- To complete a full report of the days events in the Management Daily Reports.
- To ensure good communication with all departments and staff.
PERSONAL SKILLS:

- Previous Bars management experience
- Flexible in working time
