Christie + Co has been instructed to market the leasehold interest of the former Ma Cuisine restaurant in Twickenham, on behalf of south west London-based chef and former Michelin-starred restaurateur John McClements.
Situated directly between Twickenham’s main railway station and the Twickenham stadium, the home of English Rugby, the 150-cover restaurant is based on a 1950s French bistro, offering quality regional French cuisine.
All realistic offers are being sought for the leasehold interest of the restaurant, which is available with a passing rent of £34,000 per annum.
John McClements currently operates five further units in south west London, two further Ma Cuisine sites in Kew and Barnes; the Grill Room British Steakhouse, also in Twickenham; plus his eponymous fine dining restaurant and the Tagine Moroccan restaurant in Kew.
McClements gained a Michelin star in 2004 for his original eponymous restaurant in Twickenham, which was relaunched as a Ma Cuisine four years ago.
Barry Fitzgerald of Christie + Co’s London Bars and Restaurants team said: “This represents a superb opportunity for the right operator to acquire an excellent business, which trades in a great location.”
