Acting on behalf of Administrators BDO LLP, Christie + Co has been instructed to market the leasehold interests of a further three former Regent Inns sites spread across England.
The three sites are the Old Orleans and Pals Bar in Ipswich, and the Walkabout Bar in Middlesbrough.
Situated in the heart of Ipswich and forming part of the Buttermarket Shopping Centre, Pals Bar is the town’s premier sports bar and nightclub venue. Open all day and situated over two floors, the property has three bars, which are licensed to 2.30am during the peak sessions.
The Old Orleans restaurant is situated in the Cardinal Park leisure complex, close to the town centre, where other occupiers include Cineworld, Gym & Trim, Frankie & Benny’s, and a number of other branded food and drink outlets.
The Walkabout is an Australian-themed bar located at Centre North East, the tallest office building in the north east. The bar is located over two floors and is licensed to 2am six nights a week. The business is prominently located on the main drinking circuit in Middlesborough town centre.
Offers are being sought for the sites on an individual or group basis.
Anthony Jenkins, Associate Director at Christie + Co, said: “All three units are significant in size, prominently located and established businesses, which will appeal to both national and local operators.”
Christie + Co has been instructed by BDO LLP to market a number of former Regent Inns sites since the company went though a pre-pack administration last October. Last month, Christie + Co took instructions to market the Old Orleans in Plymouth, the Walkabout in Hanley and the Stone House in Hertford. The company is in advanced negotiations to sell a number of the former Regent Inns units, including the Walkabout in Portsmouth.
