Philips ‘Super Seven’ brings superior cinematic experience to business and leisure traveler.
Philips brings a superior in-home cinematic viewing experience to the business and leisure traveler following the launch of three groundbreaking new hotel TV ranges, including a ‘world first’, a full HD 3D TV designed specifically for the hospitality sector.
“With our new EasySuite, PrimeSuite and Signature ranges, Philips now offers the hotel sector the widest selection of LED TVs across all screen sizes that is currently available from any manufacturer.” Says Wouter Staal, EMEA Marketing Manager Hotel TV for Philips.
“We are introducing the ‘Super Seven’, a host of exciting new features that focus on enhancing the guest experience whilst offering hotel operators environmental and cost benefits.” New options include SmartPower which dims the backlighting of the TV without compromising on picture quality in order to minimise energy consumption thereby saving up to 75 Euros in running costs every seven years (1).
Plus advancements in sustainability, full service packages, extended warranties and rental offerings.
The new hotel TV ranges, which will be introduced in October across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand are:
Philips EasySuite: The new Philips EasySuite TV is reliable, slim and stylish, offering best-in-class picture performance. With the latest LED backlighting technology, EasySuite is available in 19-32” screen sizes. “EasySuite uses 50% less energy than conventional flat screen TVs, so as well as minimizing impact on the environment, it helps reduce running costs.” Explains Wouter. With an Integrated Connectivity Panel, this standalone TV also delivers ultimate convenience, allowing hotel guests to plug and play their own digital devices into the TV making their hotel stay even more enjoyable.
Philips PrimeSuite: Philips LED PrimeSuite is the most versatile and practical choice for hotels. The PrimeSuite range is compatible with any hotel in-room entertainment system, providing protection of early-window films through digital encryption, with easy channel browsing through ThemeTV. Available in screen sizes from 22-42”.
Both EasySuite and PrimeSuite systems incorporate MyChoice as standard. This facility creates an additional recurring revenue stream for 1-3 star hotels whilst extending the choice of guest services. Anyone who buys a scratch card can view a premium channel of their choice using a special access code.
Philips Signature: Impress your guests with a unique experience – the world’s first 58” full HD 3D TV for hotels. Wouter says “The Cinema 21.9 is a true to life 3D viewing experience. Guest will enjoy seeing their favourite films come to life before their eyes, just like the cinema!” The Signature range also includes the Philips Aurea TV. “With its distinctive Active Frame of colorful light, this TV achieves brilliant and vivid viewing through a soft halo of colorful light that completely surrounds and perfectly matches the colors and light levels on the screen. “It’s a stunning viewing experience” explains Wouter and a great way to differentiate your guest services from other hotels in the area.”
[1] Based on published energy usage figures of the TVs launched in 2010 for the hotel market, 3h average switch-on time per day at 80% occupancy rate and a European average energy price of 0.16 Euros including transportation and taxes.
